Obituary of Nancy Lee Wahl

Nancy Lee Wahl, brave and beautiful wife, mother, grandmother, died Saturday December 11, 2021 in her home in Bloomfield Hills, Michigan at the age of 81. She is survived by Theodore and their children, Deborah, Laura, and David, as well as her five grandchildren (Mason, Alexander, Tyler, Sage and Sarah) and her brother, Rev. William Omansiek, and his wife Linda.

 Nancy was born in Detroit. She graduated from Warren High School and completed three years at Michigan State as a Tri Delta sister. One of her crowning achievements was returning to Oakland University to complete her undergraduate degree at the age of 53. Nancy was an outstanding wife and mother.  Her priorities were family first, education a close second. She was interested in everyone who came into her family’s world and is remembered by all for her generous welcome and genuine interest in hearing their stories.  She always found the right words and the required compassion.

 A memorial service will be held June 18, 2022 at Kirk in the Hills.
