Great memories of Rosemary visiting with Jan during years at MTU, specifically our house in Houghton across from the Downtowner. A jug of Gallo Burgundy and a pack of Tareyton's, (I think or maybe Winston's). Always so easy to talk with, scanning her mental list of acquaintances to find some connection with you. I left school that winter semester for a mental health break in a car that had no working heater and could not shift into reverse. Mrs. Smith followed me through the UP, heating up an extra pair of boots that she would exchange with me on periodic stops, to include lunch, on her dime. We parted ways after the bridge. It was warmer there and I had family in Harbor Springs. I’ve never forgotten your mother’s kindness, or that of her children.
