1930 - 2022

Abraham Vam Vikites, of Huntington, NY, passed away peacefully on February 1, 2022 at the age of 91. 

He was predeceased by his beloved wife, Demetra, of 67 years.  He is survived by his two daughters, Karen (John) and Debra (Michael), and his loving granddaughter Hannah. 

Van, as he was known to family and friends, was a professional musician, having fallen in love with jazz and the trumpet at an early age. 

He served in the U.S. Air Force Band.  His lifelong passion for music was an inspiration to many.  Later in life, Van turned his hand to writing poetry, thus leaving both his music and a collection of poems as cherished remembrances.
