Tom was not just a neighbor, he was a friend. He may have thought I was there to take care of him, but by allowing me and my kids to help him through his tasks , he took care of us. My kids learned responsibility and how to earn a dollar from him. He was like a Grandpa to them. He always told me interesting stories about his time in the Army. We were both Veterans, even though he was generations before me, we bonded as Veterans in Arms. Tom made me laugh and loved to talk! I enjoyed being his care taker. I will always cherish the time I got to spend with him. I told him when he passes that he should come haunt me if he can't move onto the other side...we will see if I hear him talking to me. Rest in peace Tom. Bravo zulu soldier! You are loved!
