All the roses in my garden bloomed as he passed that morning. I walked out crying, and my jaw dropped. I felt like if there was ever a sign he was at peace, there it was.
I love you, Dad. I know you've had a rough time these last years and are happy to not have to keep struggling. I hope the afterlife has endless lakes for you to fish in and every sport available to partake in now that you feel no pain. I hope you're catching up with your mom and siblings and all is well on the other side.
I'm keeping my chin up, just like you taught me.
