Obituary of Jacqueline Patricia Sorel

Age 79.  Dear mother of Scott, Chris (Albina), Janine (Gus) Martinez, Danielle (Dave) Nosakowski.  Beloved Grandmother of Kayla, Corrin, Kirsten, Isabella, Zack, Angelina, Maxim, Anri, Denis and Rafael.

Jacqueline was a proud bus driver for the Livonia public Schools for over 30 years.  Family was also important to her; she loved to take care of her grandkids.

Jackie took the challenging role of being a single parent while her four children were young. She had them all attend St. Valentine School from 1st to 8th grade and pushed them to obtain a college degree. As well as building the foundation for them to start their own lives and families. She was a hard working and strict mom but it paid off for all of them.

When she wasn’t spending time with her family Jackie enjoyed meeting with her Womens Club she would see weekly, as well as attending Church on Sundays to keep practicing her faith.

She was the best Grandma any of her grandkids could have asked for. She always stepped in to babysit when asked upon, attended the grandchildren’s school events and on their birthdays would bring them a balloon with a cupcake or cookie (she never missed a birthday).

She put her children and grandchildren first over herself every time. 

Her last few years of her life she lived at American House where her granddaughters would visit her and bring her homemade meals, her favorite snacks, and homemade desserts. But the thing she loved most was her dark chocolate which she asked for every time someone would visit her. Her favorite visitor was Chance and who she is holding in the picture.

She will be missed by all, but never forgotten.  Thank you for all the great memories.
