Obituary of James Wilson Farnsworth Jr.
James W. Farnsworth Jr. went to meet his Savior on February 5, 2023, at the age of 89. James, or Jim as we all knew him, was born to James W. Farnsworth Sr. and Aldora (Wooley) Farnsworth. Jim served in the US. Air Force from 1952 to 1956 at Hunter Air Force Base in Savannah, GA.
Jim is survived by his wife, Anita (former Wichers), of 68 years, and his daughters Cheryl Farnsworth, and Susan Zonca (Randall). Jim has three grandchildren: Nicole Lipka (Christopher), Kathryn Paternoster (Ryan), and Brian Zonca (Amanda Wiegand). He also has seven great-grandchildren: Andrew Paternoster, Carly Lipka, Nora Lipka, Taetum Zonca, Charlette Paternoster, Liam Lipka, and Easton Zonca.
Jim is also survived by his brother Fred Farnsworth, sister-in-law Frances Wichers, brother-in-law Joseph (Inge) Wichers, sister-in-law Valerie Robbins, and brother-in-law Donald Wichers & William. Jim was preceded in death by his parents, his brother Paul Farnsworth, sister-in law Judy Farnsworth, brother-in-law Roger Wichers, brother-in-law Harold (Ray) Wichers, sister-in-law Joan Wichers, brother-in-law Benjamin (Doug) Wichers, sister-in-law Betty Wichers, and sister-in-law Elizabeth Wichers.
Jim loved golfing, fishing, camping, and traveling. For the past several years he lived with his iPad, listening to sermons and interacting through social media. He will be remembered most of all for his love of his kid and grandkids.
Jim will be interned at Great Lakes National Cemetery in Holly, MI.
