Dear Iris was a jewel walking on this earth. I feel so privileged to have meet her in her earthly life. She was a pearl which was always shining her beautiful, calming light everywhere she went. We shall miss her dearly, because every encounter with her gave all of us the feeling of love, warmth, understanding and compassion. Our true pearl is now in heaven at the side of Our Heavenly Father. May She Rest in Peace and May the Eternal Light Shine Upon Her for the Whole Eternity.

To the Family of Iris Horner I send my deepest sympathy to you and all who knew and loved Iris. I worked with Iris at Red Cedar Elementary School in East Lansing from 1985-1995. At the end of the school year she and her students put on an amazing international singing performance. Red Cedar had students from 30 different countries. Iris had the students from those countries sing a native song and carry the flag from their country. It was a most unusual event! I thought I died and went to heaven. Where else on Earth could we celebrate 30 different countries in song? It brought tears of joy and warmth to my heart. I remember Iris as being so energetic and happy. She surely was a special person in my teaching career. To this day, I share my experience of the music event she facilitated each year at Red Cedar. RIP dear soul of Iris. I’m sure our creator is very pleased with the life you lived.
