Obituary of Judith Ann Belfore

Judith Ann Belfore, Age 81 of Grosse Pointe, passed away peacefully November 3^rd, 2023.  Judy was born March 10^th, 1942 in Grosse Pointe, MI to the late Erwin and Gertrude Sattelmeier.  She leaves behind her loving husband of 37 years David Belfore.  Judy had three children, Rick (Lora) Lass, Wendi (Doug) DeSchutter and Lindsay (Roger) Koenigsknecht.  Three Stepchildren Barb (John) Belfore, Gary (Jessica) Belfore and Jill (Chuck) Belfore.

Judy also was a loving Grandmother to Ben, Tyler, Stone and Sage.  Along with 5 step-grandchildren.

Judy attended The Grosse Pointe High and graduated in 1960. She went on to attend Valparaiso University and graduated in 1964 with a degree in Social Work.  After graduating she held various other hospitality professions throughout her younger years.  In the year 2000 Judy and Dave retired to South Carolina before returning “home” to be closer to family in 2020.

Judy enjoyed spending time with friends and family playing cards, golfing, being social and cheering on her Detroit Sports Teams and PGA Professionals.  Along with her passion for loving people she was deeply devoted to her faith and spreading her love to all.

Judy fought the good fight with cancer three times in her life. Her final health battle was fought with great courage and a smile. In her life she took great comfort and strength from her relationship with God. She is now resting with God and her family in His peace. She will be truly missed.

Family and Friends are invited to attend a Celebration of Life gathering that will be held on Saturday, January 27, 2024 at 11:00 am at Grosse Pointe Memorial Church located in Grosse Pointe Farms. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to “Shriners Hospital for Children, donate.lovetotherescue.org, in memory of Judith Belfore."
