Obituary of David E. DeMeere

David E. DeMeere age 858 of Macomb, Michigan passed away Sunday, December 17, 2023, at his home surrounded by family.

David was born on April 3^rd, 1938, to Alois and Margurite (Wittobals) DeMeere in Mt. Clemens, Michigan. David married Ruth Rinke on June 27, 1959, in Centerline, Michigan. He was a loving husband for 64 years, father of three, grandfather of six, great grandfather of three, brother and friend of many.

David was preceded in death by his parents and brother Dennis.

David is survived by his wife Ruth; children Jeff, Chris, and Greg; his grandchildren Shane, Michelle (Matt). Sydney (Elliot), Brian (Kari), Kennedy (Aaron) and Taylor. Brother Ronald (Lori), Margie (Don), Kathy (John), Carolyn and Jan (Michael).

David worked in many job shops until he was hired into General Motors on August 25^th, 1960. He retired on October 1, 1996, with 36 years of service.

David was the president of Stoney Creek Snowdrifters Snowmobile Club, also the Idle Hour Yacht Club. He enjoyed snowmobiling and boating for many years. He also was a resident of Florida then moved back to Michigan permanently. He collected cars for many years and a big fan of the Tigers.              

A memorial Mass will be held Thursday, January 18, 2024, 10:15 AM at St. John Vianney, 54045 Schoenherr Road, Shelby Twp, MI.
