Obituary of Ellen E. Kanaby

Ellen was born in March 1938, passing away unexpectedly November 4, 2023. 

She shared a lifelong journey with her husband Ray of 66 years and their 4 children.  

Possessed of a firecracker personality and stubborn determination, Ellen enjoyed talking to anyone about anything, with a genuine interest in their lives.

She loved nature, enjoying the diversity of wildlife that appeared in her yard and the change of seasons.  

Ellen was a devout Catholic and was very active in her church. Her faith gave her strength, which she shared with others.

Without question, the pride and joy of her life, especially in later years were her children and grandchildren, whom she loved unconditionally. 

She doted on them and frequently bragged about them to her friends, acquaintances, neighbors, etc., (the list goes on and on). 

Ellen particularly relished the opportunity to spoil any guest her children brought into her home; welcoming them with open arms and treating them as family.

No guest ever escaped without being fully fed and entertained.

Ellen is survived by her husband, her four children, her brother, several grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

She will be missed by all.
