Beauvais, Mary Doris (née Foley)

Born May 20th, 1935 in Detroit, Michigan to Earl and Margaret “Peggy” Foley (née Duffy), passed away February 2nd, 2024 after a courageous battle with Alzheimer’s at the age of 88. Beloved wife of Bernard Beauvais for 68 years. Loving mother to Marie (Paul) Hochstein, the late Pamela Beauvais, Michael (Toni) Beauvais, David (Gerri) Beauvais and Mark Beauvais. Incredibly proud grandmother of Kevin (Monica) Baird, Jessica (James) Armour, Katherine (Peter) Berishaj, Chris Beauvais, Michael (Zina) Beauvais, Jackie (Aaron) Beauvais, Stephen Beauvais, Matthew Beauvais, Adam Beauvais and great-grandmother to Peter Armour, Liam Beauvais, Blaise Armour and Owen Beauvais. Dear sister of Patricia (Jerry) Conflitti and Agnes (Chuck) Feldman. Predeceased by her parents, sister Margaret (Tom) Gleason and brothers Lionel and Edward (Bernice) Foley. Survived by many loving cousins, nieces and nephews in both the United States and Canada. Her legacy lives on in them.

Doris was the epitome of a proud family woman and loved every minute that she got to spent with both her children and her grandchildren.  She enjoyed golf, swimming, reading, bowling, crossword puzzles, Euchre, the Detroit Red Wings, and being Irish. She was the life of every party and never said no to doing anything- even as she aged. She will be deeply missed and remembered fondly by everyone who knew her. To know her was to love her. As her family, we feel incredibly blessed to have had her as our wife, mother, grandmother or aunt. It is a role she was born for and she loved every second of it.

A private family service will be held to honor this special life. Cremation will take place along with a later entombment at Saint Mary’s cemetery in New Baltimore, MI with her daughter Pamela. In lieu of flowers, feel free to make a donation to the Alzheimer’s research charity of your choosing.
