Andy was an easy going guy who loved life. The Military Working Dog (MWD) world is small. I worked with Andy at several installations. Andy always had positive things to say about people and situations. RIP my friend…K-9

I remember Andy when he was assigned to the 3rd Security police squadron at Clark Air Base Philippines in the late 70's. He was assigned to out shift as a K-9 handler with duties to protect the Air Base and it's assets. He was a happy guy who would light up the room when he entered. He was a professional on duty and a good partner to work with and not think twice, to help any fellow dog handler. I only have one photo of him. It was taken while off duty having fun with his friends, Rest in peace buddy.

I served with Andy at Clark AB, Republic of the Philippines as Military Working Dog Handlers. Andy's K9 was named Rugged. Andy was a good friend and we spent many hours together, whether working together or off duty. We traveled on motorcycles and made many memories as we toured the Philippines when off-duty. We played a lot of backgammon together and a game Andy taught me, A-C Duecie. Andy made friends with everyone and was loved by all his brothers and sisters he served with on a nightly basis. Rest in Peace my friend.

I met Andy Hing at Clark AFB while visiting John Pearce and the rest of the K-9 family. Andy had quite the sense of humor, always willing to help people out. Although I never played golf with Andy I sure like to listen to him give Lanek and fellow K-9 handlers jabs about their golf game. Great memories really good person. Gone but will never be forgotten. I am sending condolences from my family and me. We have been cousins by marriage for many years when I married Butch. I couldn’t ask for a better family. When I got married and years after that Aunt Mary would call or I would call her for advice. It started when I wore a red dress to one of the cousins weddings and Mary called me out for it. After that I learned very quickly. Over the years she would talk about her brothers and sisters who I knew. She also be loved boasting about her children and how each one was special. When Andy left the service she was so glad to have him home. She was so proud of the girls in law school and college. She wished Allen was closer. Boy she loved those grandchildren. I got plenty of pictures of the grands and her. I am so sorry you lost Andy too soon but he had a wonderful life and now he is with his mother and father. Joan Ho and family.

Andy was my first friend I made in the Air Force. We were K9 handlers at Clark. We became golf buddies. We stayed in touch during our 20 years in the Air Force and after. We even sent each other Christmas Cards every year and just 3 months ago. I have some fond memories of him that I will cherish forever.
