Obituary of Carol Frances McLaughlin

Carol Frances McLaughlin passed away peacefully on March 29, 2024, in Northville, MI, at the age of 89.

She was born on February 22, 1935, in Ridley Park, PA, to the late Charles and Thelma Higgins. After her family moved to Northville, MI in 1966, Carol had a fulfilling career as a school bus driver for Northville Public Schools, where she touched the lives of many children with her kind and caring nature. Her dedication to ensuring the safety of students was unmatched.

After retirement, she loved to travel and see destinations all around the world and socializing with her many friends. She was her happiest during chaotic family get togethers, interacting with her kids, grandkids and friends. Many described her as loving, joyous, and happy, Carol cherished spending time with her family.

She is survived by her five children Dennis (Diane), Tom (Ceil), Connie Sherman (Dave), Carol Harp (Randy), and Matt (Jenny), twelve grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Dave. Services for Carol will be private, with a Celebration of Life to be held in early May. Carol will be deeply missed by all who knew her, but her memory will live on in the hearts of those she loved and who loved her in return.
