Johnny was my oldest first cousin. As a youngster our age difference, around 18 years, kept me from really getting to know him as a friend, but as we both grew older we began to enjoy the significant interests we had in common and started to reconnect more often. Johnny was so vibrant, so energetic, so lively that it was a pleasure to visit him. Our shared and unique family history was always a source of great conversation but Johnny was also very aware of every day happenings and could chat about most anything...a true "barber's" trait. Camping, travel, a military connection, our shared love for Uncle Joe and others of that older generation...we talked about it all over a glass of wine or something a bit stronger. Johnny was such a whirlwind I thought he might live forever! He will...in our hearts. Jacklyn (Kling) and Dwain Dumas

John and Jan were not only our neighbors but our friends as well and they introduced us to many other friends. They were truly one of a kind. Good friends like them were the rare jewels of life - difficult to find and impossible to replace.Out of sight, out of mind? Not a chance. "Wish you were here" just doesn't express how much you are missed. Miss your hugs and laughter. Your outlook on life was always great and will be missed by all!

We had the pleasure of meeting John and Jan when joining the camping club. John welcomed us with open arms and made us feel like family. He had such a big sense of humor and could make anyone laugh. I always think of him wearing two different color socks and smile. The Christmas and St. Patrick's day parties were such a good time for everyone and always tons of food. We are very blessed to have known John and Jan and I know they are angels up in heaven. We loved them.
