Joyce will truly be missed. Her love for family was extra ordinary. She proved this in so many instances but for her to take her retirement money and do a family reunion just so we can be connected should never be forgotten by any of us. We should strive to keep going what Joyce truly started. I thank God for such an incredible woman being apart of our family.

I had the pleasure of meeting Joyce at our family reunion. She had a caring soul, always concerned about family. She motivated me to continue on that path. Loving my family, caring for others and not expecting anything in return but the good feeling of giving. I will miss her dearly... JP

My mother is the kindest person I know. I have never met anyone more charitable. Through the catholic institutions she ensured her children were educated and involved in, I have access to a host of priests and nuns. All of them caring, all of them kind. Even they do not hold a candle to my Mom. While she never made a display of helping others, her selflessness and honesty is comparable to that of Mother Teresa and Mahatma Gandi. It is natural to love your mother, but a greater task is to admire her. I not only love and admire my mother, but pray for the fortitude that allowed her to lead such a notable life.

Joyce was more than your sister, she was also your friend. A very soft spoken person, she would go out of her way to be thoughtful and considerate. Joyce was a very caring and kind person and the best sister or friend and mother that anyone could ever hope for. I remember as a teenager how Margaret could make Joyce melt with laughter. This is the way I will remember both of them. Always in my heart. Deepest sympathy to her children, grandchildren, sister, brother and all other family members from my family, sister(Mary)and brother(Delaney).

To The Family My family, the Green Family convey our deepest sympathy to you. I have known Joyce since my teen years when she lived on Pingree. At the time, I lived on the corner of Dexter & Pingree. She has always been one of my favorite people and my memories of her are fond. The last time I saw Joyce was when she and her daughter visited my aunt (Emma Holmes) in May of 2009. May God bless each of the family and hold you in His graces for days, months and years to come

I graduated with Joyce from both St. Agnes in 1955 and Marygrove College in 1959 and we became friends for life. It didn't matter how many years went by - everytime we met, it was as though we had never been apart. We simply picked up where we left off - sharing hopes, dreams and of course, the latest news of our growing families. I will dearly miss those opportunities, but I will pray for you.

I met Joyce a few years ago when I became a member of the Red Hat Society, Motown Crimson Funsters. She was such a quiet, soft-spoken, classy lady, and she personified goodness and grace. I will always remember the wonderful luncheons she hosted for the red hatters. She made me (us) feel so special.
