Dear Family of Dorothy Dykes, I was privileged to be John and Dorothy's pastor for some 12years. They were very special to me. And a great blessing. I was in awe of the faith and trust that they had in their Lord Jesus. Difficult times They had them, but they always knew that God was right beside them and that is what made them such caring and loving people. I learned a lot from them about trusting and worshipping the Lord. I pray you did too. May you lean on God's strength. Pastor Hensler

Jodi sorry to here about Mrs. Dykes. She was always my favorite teacher. I can remember when she was going to retire I told her she had to work at least one more year because I had one more son to go through kindg and she didn't retire until after he went through kindg. Probably not why but i always thought it was kind of funny. So she had me and all my kids. I loved seeing her when she would come with you to pick up Ashley. She will greatly missed she was a wonderful person.

I wish to send my thoughts to all of you in Dorothy's family..She was a very special lady and we all will miss her . I was her teacher's aide when they didn't pay us she had a paid aid when she taught my sons Jason and steve so I wanted her students to have an aid even if it was volunteer. In the AM she would try a teaching and if if went OK she did the same in the PM class!!! She helped many kids have a good start in the learning process God Bless, Janice Bell

I'm so sorry to hear of the passing of Mrs.Dykes. She was a very special woman. I was in her kindergarten class in 1975. I will never forget how she cared for her students, when I graduated in 1988 she came to my open house with a little stuffed bear. I have thought about her several times over the years and wondered how she was. My heart is saddened to hear of her passing. May God be with you all.
