so sad. seems funny to say sad when talking about hoppy. what a trip. what great times. a.e. housmann said it best in an athlete dying young. hoppy has won his laurel wreath. i'll see that pound of vaseline on his hair as coach rajkovich looked up, saw it and said, so that's where all the vaseline has been going. we all laughed 'til we cried-coach looking up and hoppy looking down-and he is. God bless! wish i had known about the mass.

What a special person. From our youngest days he was the same. He was fun, happy, caring and so sincere about everything he did. He had not a bad thing to say about anyone. Everyone who knew him loved to be around him. My days with him were special. From the goofy things we did together in high school to joining the Corps together. The years after & our different life paths we kind of drifted apart but I never forgot how special Hoppy was in my life. After seeing all his family the other day after his passing & realizing the impact his life had on all of them I saw his real purpose in life. They were all like him so full of life & special in their own ways. I was blessed to have known him & share a small part of his life. I miss you buddy & I will see you soon.
