Ms. Leona was a joy to know and love. She was a beautiful soul and a precious lady. When I became the Chaplain at The Village of East Harbor she immediately came along side of me, helping and encouraging me. I'm sure I learned much more from her than she did from me. One of my favorite memories of Leona was when I would see her attending to other residents at the Village. She was always looking out for them and smiling as she did it. I specifically remember her loving on Gina B. Leona would hold her face and speak to her even though Gina could not respond. Leona rubbed her arms, held her hands and kissed her on the forehead. It was a precious sight to see this wonderful lady with her own troubles still reaching out with the love of God to others. She is an example to us all in being a loving human being. I will miss you Ms. Leona but I will see you again in heaven one day, all my love till then!
