I worked at James Tanury Associates for a time in the 70's and learned so much during that time. Mr. Tanury had a way with people and gave everyone a chance- and a second chance- to succeed. When I was about to give up, he personally encouraged me to to stick with it and because I did, I eventually moved on to a career with General Motors. So many times over the years, I remembered that meeting with Mr. Tanury and always thought what a good man he was to take the time to encourage me. Even now in retirement, I often think of that time many years ago when Mr. Tanury made such an impact on my future because he took the time. God Bless you and know I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers.

I worked for Mr. Tanury back in the 60's thru 90's in the automotive business. Worked in those years for a very intelligent and down to earth man who gave me a job when I dearly needed one. He had to do what he had to do to keep his business to survive and compete with other companies (Modern Engineering for instance). I'm 75, but worked for him in my prime years of employment. Thankful to work for him and his son Steve. They don't make them like him anymore. God Bless! My condolences to this very hard working family.

I'm very sorry for your loss. Whenever your father came to visit his brother in Utica, he would always come to our house and watch as Ace and I buillt our barn. I always enjoyed his company, especially while sharing a meal at our house. Very different from his brother and a pleasure to be around. Ace would tell me stories and brag of your father's accomplishments. Two different men from the Greatest Generation. They are fondly missed.
