So sorry to hear about Judie's death from Susan Hendrickson this week. Our family thanked Judie for her thoughtful attendence at both my Father and Mother's funerals and I am sorry we were unable to attend hers. I looked up to my older cousin Judie as a role model during my youth. She set and achieved high personal goals, in school, and sports like swimming, volleyball, track and field, basketball and any other skill she wished to begin. Her leadership skills were hard acts to follow. Along with her competitive winning spirit, she passed on priceless gifts, of endurance, character strength, the will to complete the task at hand with finesse to cousins like myself. I appreciated her coaching counsel, & responsible attitude modelled for me to emulate. Her life skill contributions will be missed by many family and past students. Like others in the family we mourn her loss but also realize suffering is gone and she is at peace and she lives on through her contributions.

Ten years ago Sister Judie and I brought home my adopted rescue dog Bodo for the first time, Judie bought his first ball throwing chuckit and initiated a training technique that eventually prevented the 100 pound Bodo from putting his front paws on people's shoulders while attempting to stand like a human. Five years ago Judie travelled to Coastal British Columbia helping Bro to set up my newly purchased home, her perfect house warming present was buying the first two cords of split douglas fir for the fireplace; those two selfless, generous, supportive acts were typical acts of kindness committed by Judie throughout our lives. Last October we reunited and Brother finally paid back with loving service, our two nights in the hospital together warmed our hearts and bonded us forever. I would like to share the following Sufi aphorism When the heart weeps for what it has lost, the soul laughs for what it has found.

Betty, MaryLou, Ricky, Cathy and Susie, I was very sorry to hear of Judie's passing. She is the one Green I saw every once in awhile when we both attended DDC performances and fundraisers.

We live next door to Judy. She was a wonderful neighbor. Such a lovely and friendly lady. I'm sorry we didn't know that she had taken so ill lately. We'll miss her. She always had a friendly word and time for a nice chat.

I grew up in Windsor across the street from the Greens and was very close with the whole Green family. So sad to hear about Judy's passing. My thoughts are with the family, and I know they will have wonderful memories of her life.
