Obituary of Maximilian Castillo Garcia
Max was a beloved son, brother, uncle, and dear friend to many. He was a kind hearted and irreplaceable soul who warmed so many hearts during his short ride on Earth.
Max deeply loved his family, friends, and pets. He was an artist, photographer, karaoke lover, cat rescuer, video gamer, movie critic, and slow roller. Max was born on March 14th, 1983 in Detroit Michigan. He grew up in Detroit attending Holy Redeemer High School, graduating in 2001. Max lived in NYC for several years working as a Graphic Designer. He spent a brief time living in Long Beach California before returning back home to Detroit last year. Max was creative, talented, approachable, funny, smart and witty. He was a trusted confidant, who was always there for his loved ones. His soul continues to shine brightly as he touched the lives of many with his sincere down-to-earth spirit and huge heart. His smile lit up every room that he entered and his infectious laugh permeated everyone's heart. His unmatched whit, charm, compassion and friendship have made a lasting impression on everyone that has ever been blessed enough to know Max, including those that barely knew him.
Max leaves behind his mother, Margarita Garcia, his father, Enrique Garcia, his beloved sister, Michelle Garcia-Reyes, his brother-in-law Danny Reyes, his dear Nephew, Milian Reyes, his Grandmother Elva Castillo, his many Aunts, Uncles, and Cousins, his dearly loved cats, Will Rosenberg and Carol Danvers, and countless friends. Max joins his dearest niece Ella, and grandparents in Heaven.
A memorial mass will be held at Ste. Anne's de Detroit at 4:00 pm Monday, May 11th
