I have so many wonderful memories of afternoon chats with Grandpa Wag. He had so many stories to tell and we shared so many laughs on those afternoons. I will miss him terribly. He was a wonderful person and loved his family more than life itself. They all loved him too! He will be greatly missed. I found this poem that hopefully will help all the hearts that are surely aching now. I would like to share this with you. In one sense there is no death. The life of a soul on earth lasts beyond His departure. You will always feel that life touching yours, that voice speaking to you, that spirit reaching out to you, that spirit looking out of other eyes. Talking to you in the familiar things He touched, worked with, loved as familiar friends, He lives on in your life and the lives of all others that knew Him. Goodnight Grandpa Wag. I love you..Karen

I've known you almost all of my life. You made me a part of your family. I will always remember the fishing trips, rolling cigarettes at the kitchen table, staying up all night and tape recording, the time we were on 96 doing 105 mph with Pete and Jimmy Hawk praying in the back seat. You and Mrs. Wagner were my second parents. Sandy and our kid's will remember you always, as will I. Love, Cork and Sandy

For 37 years you were my second father. You taught my how to nail a nail, screw a screw and saw with a saw. I'll never forget the great times we had laying cement on Munger and filming that classic movie This Old Barn when we insulated that old barn garage. Thanks for the tips on gardening and giving me part of your green thumb. Remeber all of those trips to Roscommon to get those rocks Remember what we did with that pool Say Hi to Mom, Spike, Junior and Dolly.

I feel so blessed to have had such a wonderful Grandpa. I will never forget when we blew up the jelly donut in your microwave. You were the best cribbage partner and friend a grand-daughter could wish for. I will miss you dearly. I love you grampers.

Dear John, You wre my favorite customer for 9 years. It was always so nice to see you and talk to you first thing in the morning. You were like the mailmen, no matter what the weather, rain, snow, sleet or hail, you were always there, much to the dismay of your family. You will be truly missed, but my life has been blessed with knowing and caring about someone like you.

Many years ago, I went with Sue to visit her parents at their house on Munger. During a tour of the house, I noticed this sign hanging over Mr. Wagner's bed...Here lies John....a dirty old man. He got the biggest kick out of that sign. I will miss you, Grandpa Wag.

Dear Grandpa Wags, Mary cut my hair at your kitchen table, I can't even count how many times we rolled dice on it. Your workshopbarn was a place of mystery that we always wanted to sneak into. So much of what I love from my childhood took place on Munger st. Your family has always been family to me, and for that there are no words to express my gratitude. I love and miss you.
