Dear Virginia and family- I am Haild's daughter, Janie. I am so sorry to hear of Joyce's passing. I have fond memories of her from my childhood. She was always so sweet to me and my brothers, often being loving and nurturing when our Dad needed to discipline us. (Of course, this was not a regular thing, as we were very well behaved as children.) She and I have also kept in touch since Haild died. I remember her as energetic, vibrant, generous, and kind. She was also very disciplined -- exercising and reading her Bible daily. I know she loved my Dad and was devoted to him in good times and bad. She was a positive influence in my life and I am glad to have known her. She spoke fondly about you, Virginia, as her best friend. And I know she loved her nephews very much and was very proud of them. Please let me know of plans for her service. I can be contacted at janienichols@gmail.com.
