Obituary of Audrey Ruth Gowran

Audrey R. Gowran passed away February 28, 2017. Beloved wife of the late Rev. Harry Gowran. Loving mother of Richard (Pamela), Jim, (Drew Carter), Katie (Brian) Marquardt and the late David. Dearest grandmother of Lauren Marquardt, Julia Marquardt, Megan Marquardt, Kaitlyn Vincil and James Vincil. Sister in law of Uretta Ireland and sister of the late John Weishaupt. Audrey is fondly remembered by many nieces and nephews. Audrey left an impression on every life she touched. Her elegance and style was timeless and classic. Everything matched; the shoes, the bag, the outfit and most of all the JEWELRY. She was known to switch up the Winter, Spring, Summer and Fall jewelry ~ A very high priority date on her calendar! She loved to shop! She could outlast her daughter and granddaughters at any outlet mall! She ran her younger companions ragged at an all day trip to The Mall of America many years back. Audrey loved unconditionally and had four wonderful children with the love of her life~ Harry. They made the perfect "cake top" couple with Harry in his impeccable suits and Audrey in her lovely outfits. A very doting grandmother to Lauren, Julia and Megan, she spent many moments taking pride in Lauren's artwork, Julia's hockey and her "girly-girl" Megan. Dancing With The Stars was one of her favorite programs. She was also known to cut quite a rug with the best of them at a wedding or event. Now, she's dancing once again with Harry in Heaven, and as Len would say, I'd give that couple a perfect 10! A Memorial Visitation will be held at the Chas. Verheyden Schultz Funeral Home at 21705 Gratiot Ave, Eastpointe on Saturday, March 11, 2017 at 12:00 Noon until the time of service at 2:00 p.m. Audrey's cremains with be interred with Harry's at Ft.
