I am saddened to hear of Charlotte's tragic passing. I grew up on South Washington, a stone's throw from Charlotte's home on Center St. I used to talk to her all the time while she worked in her yard. My thoughts, prayers and deepest sympathies go out to her family.

Aunt Charlotte was a wonderful influence in my life, a joy to know and a source of wisdom. Her zest for life and interest in everyone around her were like sunshine wherever she went. She will be greatly missed.

I am a friend of Charlotte's granddaughter, Bethany Hartman. Bethany has a wonderful family. I always feel welcome and apart of the family. I didn't get a chance to meet Charlotte personally but Bethany has shared wonderful things about her. This is such a tragic loss that my heart goes out to the family. I pray that God's unfailing love reaches out to everyone close to Charlotte.

I, too, am a close personal friend of Charlotte's granddaughter, Bethany Hartman. I just lost my father in August 2008 and my heart crys along with the Hartman family who are in my thoughts and prayers. May God wrap His loving, merciful arms around you, Hartman Family, to bring you comfort and everlasting peace in the loss of your loved one! May God bless you always!
