Obituary of David Lee Kindell Jr.
Who would have known when David left his grandmother's house on March 14, 2015 that would have been the last time that anyone would have seen or spoke with him. Since that day our family has searched from east side to west side of Detroit. We attended the 2015 and 2016 Missing in Michigan conference which was hosted by Michigan State Police. This event is where we gained the knowledge and was guided on what as a family we should do to assist the local police in helping to locate David. At this time his information was entered into the database of NAMUS- National Missing and Unidentified Person System, we spoke with a representatives from the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children, Crime-stoppers an 1-800-Speak Up whom would award the money that leads to an arrest and/or his whereabouts. DNA samples were collected from both of his siblings ad entered into a database in the event he was located. During these two years, we had a balloon release, several search parties, a news conference pleading to the public for assistance, handed flyers, searched abandoned homes dwellings, trashed filled lots, and mailed flyers to local businesses, weekly calls to the Wayne County Morgue. We kept in constant contact with the investigator to get updates, mainly to make sure that his case stayed fresh on her mind and didn't surface to the bottom. We were in the process in making plans to have what we call Davids Annual Search Party when we got the call that no one ever looked forward to receiving. We have closed this chapter and now we know that David is among-est the Angels and is safely with his parents Nancy Bradley and David Kindell Sr. that preceded him in death. Please continue to pray for his siblings, Davina Kindell, Charlene McGhee, Elaine Kindell, his guardian/Aunt Deborah Skinner, his family and host of friends. "Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand." Isaiah 41:10 The family of David Lee Kindell Jr, would like to sincerely thank everyone that stood beside us in prayer and as we traveled through the streets of Detroit, searching abandoned property, dwellings trashed filled lots and handing out flyer; this was an emotional stress on everyone but you showed up each and every time the call went out. Thank you! We thank the many people that didn't know us personally, but was touched by our unfortunate story that was shared through social media. Thank you for the many prayers. A special thank you to the law enforcement community for all that you do on a daily basis, without you commitment and technology we would not have been able to identify David and bring a closure to this chapter.
