Mrs. Upton, I didn't have the pleasure of knowing your husband before his final illness, but I enjoyed visiting him and meeting you at Woodward Hills during his stay there. I saw your husband's Obituary in Wednesday's Detroit Free Press. My, what an accomplished man! How proud you and your children must be - and with very good reason. I know this is a difficult time for your family, and I hope you're able to remember the wonderful husband, father, grandfather, and uncle so lovingly described in the newspaper as you look forward to better days ahead, following the comfort of his memorial service.
