This is his grand-daughter and Robert I want to tell you the beer is still in the basement but hopefully no one has drank it recently. Thanks to everyone who has posted and is going to post. The family is not going to be the same and we miss him alot. When something breaks at our house we look at each other and say What would Norbert do.

Mr. Knapp will be sorely missed. He sort of served the neighborhood as a handyman. He helped my mom many times with various little household tasks whenever he was asked.

When I was a young person, Mr. Knapp was my best friend's dad. Although I never got to know him as an adult, in retrospect I realize that he was a great role model in work ethic, religious practice and commitment to family. I am saddened to hear of his passing, but am certain that he now rests in peace with his wife.

I just saw the notice in today's newspaper and was saddened to hear of the passing of Norbert. As a resident of Rosedale, with my parents Bud & Marie and brothers Ray and Paul, it was a great neighborhood to spend our early childhood. It was people like Norbert and Jean that made everything family. You could just walk in their house and feel like one of the family. I still remember the beer crocks in Norb's basement. To bad I was to young to enjoy his home brew with him and John Polance. All of the parents were great role models and we sure grew up right. It was a compliment to all them. My thoughts and prayers are with the family at this time. We wish you blessed moments and great thoughts of your parents. They both are rejoined in happiness in a very special place.

You will be missed, you were a great grandfather. i wish i could have spent more time with you in the later years. Norbert Knapp was a very intelligent person, if something broke...he could fix it, if he needed a tool of any sort, he would make it. he was always building new gadgets. He was good to his family, and was there to help when you were in need. I Love you and you'll be greatly missed. Love, Keri, Ron, Brandie, And Chloe Knapp.
