I'm sorry to learn of Michael's death. It has been years since I saw him. Both of us sat in the upper left side at Christ Church Cranbrook, to make a comparison to living in Manhattan. I would often talk with Michael as soon as the service was over. He had a wealth of experience writing about the automobile, but his conversation typically gravitated to his family. He had a warmth and concern for so many people. He seemed constantly cheerful and was deeply engaged in serious (but not somber) issues.

I'm so sorry to hear of Michael's passing. He and my uncle Bill Day were fast friends and I enjoyed exploring our family connections after church. I hope fond memories can help ease your loss, Karen and Davis children.

Michael was one of the brightest Christians I knew, and for me, one of the kindest. Diana and I will plant 10 sapling tress in our common area come early May in memory of Mike.

Karen, Penny, Betsy & Matt - So sorry to hear this news. Mike was a dear old friend, going back to 1956 and the Graefield Apts, where we all lived as newley weds. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

We are so, so sorry to hear this. I will always remember and be grateful to Mike for giving me some of my first PR consulting work, writing press releases for the Detroit Historical Museum when I was barely out of college. You are all very old family friends and we are thinking of you.
