Dear Don, Curtiss, Gary, Karen and Rachel, I am so sorry on your loss. I can't express how special Don is to my brother, Greg and I. He was the only friend of our dad's that made a point to stay in touch with us over the years and always had great stories to tell us about him which allowed us to feel close to our dad years after his passing. Don is such a part of our family history that he is family to us. I have so many memories of him and all of you that I can't express enough of how saddened I am by his passing. I still have a cardboard crown he made for me one year for Halloween; I thought it was the prettiest & most creative costume accessory I had ever seen. I'm very thankful that he was in our lives and that my daughters were able to meet him. I will keep you all in my prayers.

To the Pagels family, At this time of sadness and loss my heart grieves for you all. Though Don has moved on he has left us all with the beauty of his memory. My life was touched by him in so many ways. He was my friend, my confidant, my adopted dad and I miss him with all my heart. You are all in my prayers as is Don. I will keep him as I knew him. A man I could share with, a man I could care with. He was always there when I needed him and I will forever be grateful for his life and Love. To My Beloved Friend Don Pagels My fondest memories of you when I was very young, Is the way you played your guitar and every song that was sung, You were my Dad’s very good friend and you became my special friend, When my Daddies days on earth came to an end, You were there for me through thick and thin, To dry my tears and help me believe again, We laughed and cried, argued and sighed, When I was troubled in you I could confide, When we talked about death, you always would say, People don’t die they just go away, I believe you are free in your spiritual world, Your heart at peace, your wings unfurled, I miss you so, thank you for your love, Watch over us with my dad from above, I keep you in my prayers through the joy and the pain, Until God brings us together again. Forever with all my heart, Julie Kohler
