Obituary of Joseph Michalski, Jr.

Joseph Michalski, Jr. of Oxford, MI, April 4, 2011, at 87 years of age. "The world's greatest fisherman" he was born in Detroit to Josef and Frances (Lutomski) Michalski on October 29, 1923. Joe served in the US Army Air Corps in the Pacific with the 13 Air Force's 70th Fighter Squadron during World War II. Beloved brother of Virginia (Sterling) Jarvis-MacDonald; brother-in-law of Victoria Michalski' and uncle of Michael (Paula) Jarvis, Marlene Zelmanski, Nicholas (Gerilyn) Jarvis, Chester (Susan) Michalski, Cynthia Urban, Stephen (Carol Ann) Michalski, Mark (Darlene) Rutkowski, and Gregg (Carol) Rutkowski. He was preceded in death by his brother Chester Michalski and sister Irene Rutkowski. Services will be conducted at the Great Lakes National Cemetery in Holly, Michigan, Mid May, followed by a memorial luncheon.
