Although I only knew Bob for a short time; I've always appreciated the entertainment in his stories, his business insight, and keen intellect. I only wish the relationship could have continued longer. And because this would raise his hackels -- On, Wisconsin!

Bob was one of the most memorable people we met in college. He was a bear of a man yet gentle as a puppy. He was always friendly and willing to help others. He will be sorely missed by all. For the family, remember the good times. They will help you in the dark days ahead. And Sumo as we called him, is in a better place...

Bob - Sumo - my steadfast friend - I know you thought that nobody know's what it's like to be the bad man, to be the sad man, behind blue eyes. In truth, THIS is your song, and I hope you don't mind that I put down in words, how wonderful life is while you're in the world. But the sunshine of your life is now gone (don't it make my brown eyes blue), and it seems that the world is less wonder-full by your leaving. To those of left on this seemingly empty stage, it feels like these are the worst of times. I do know, though, that you'd want us to remember and revel in the best of times; so I lift the 151, take a swallow, and somehow manage a WOW! Always a gentleman and a scholar, mixed with a bit of Madman Across the Water, I bid you goodnight, sweet prince. I love you, I miss you, and with a brave little smile, I silently sing for you one last Yo Ho, Yo Ho, Yo Ho ....

Bob was a wonderful boss that will be missed. I admired his openness to listen to views that he did not share. Bob and I had many conversations regarding environmental issues. I will miss our discussions.

Hey Bob - I remember the outstanding evening we had when I cooked some steaks and enjoyed a fine 18 year old scotch. The conversation about history past and present was a sample of your intellect and wit. We have all lossed a good friend and team mate. Until we meet again! Go Buckeyes!

Bob, I knew you 25 years ago when we both worked for Dow, you in Y-town and me in Corry, Pa. You were always a charactor and great fun to be with. I felt great meeting you again in Northville two weeks ago when I was passing through, we spoke for an hour about the old times and our many mutual friends. From the catch-up we had, and seeing your mark on the world over the last 25 years, it is apparent you will be greatly missed by many. Little does a man know how many lifes he touches through-out his own life. How he leaves each touch defines his life. we will miss you Bob. We will all see you some day in the future.

To Bob’s family, I had just been reacquainted with Bob after about 20 years. Bob was my supervisor when we were both at Dowell Schlumberger in Kalkaska, MI during the mid 80s. He was a good man and of great character. I will miss his quick wit and humor and the reminiscing about the good old oilfield days. With much respect, John Lang Please let me know when there will be a service for him. 313-510-0471

I first met Bob when we were in college at Ohio State. We lost track of each other until a few years ago and have spoken and seen each other frequently since then. He was my counselor and my close friend and he will be sorely missed. I'm richer for having known him. To his loved ones - you are in my thoughts and prayers. He always talked lovingly about his daughter and his grandson, Matthew. If only he could have taken more time out from work to be with them, but then work WAS Bob's life. He was one of a kind.

Bob was always there for you, listened and provided options and opportunities. He prided himself on fairness, and good values system. The business world needs more people with the ethics and character that Bob brought to us all. I will miss talking with you Bob.
