Obituary of Helen L. Walker

Helen Louise Walker(nee Urmy) age 92, passed away on May 20, 2014, in Canton, MI. She was born on December 9, 1921, in Croswell, MI, to Russell A Urmy and Lula M. Sly. Helen married Philip R. Walker on June 8, 1946. She is survived by a daughter, Stephanie Walker, and her husband, John Edwards of Canton. Helen is also survived by a sister, Mrs. Ila Robbins of Fenwick, MI; sister-in-law, Mrs. Yvonne Walker of Croswell, MI; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, Philip, and a brother Earl H. Urmy. Mrs. Walker was a member of the First Methodist Church in Port Huron. She was a life-long resident of the Port Huron area, and prior to moving to Canton 2 years ago, she resided at the Blue Water Lodge in Ft. Gratiot, MI. Her family suggest donations to the American Red Cross or the American Heart Association.
