Love to the Murray family and my condolences of the loss of their Husband and Dad. Thanks for all the good times hanging out at the Murray house. I always loved that kitchen and basement that Mr. Murray remodeled himself. Still think that copper counter was pretty cool! It was so great to find a family from Scotland I could relate to and it was great meeting all your relatives who came over in the summers. Love Lorraine

To the Murrays I am very sorry to hear of your loss. The Murray family was an important part of my youth. Lawrence was a curmudgeonly Uncle to the neighborhood, with a gruff exterior but a heart of gold. I remember the pride and craftsmanship he put into modernizing the old Schwartz farmhouse when your family moved in across the street from us. Lawrence Jr. was one of my best friends growing up and I've always been very fond of Ann and Alison. Margaret, I'll make sure to stop by and see you the next time I'm in Michigan. Hugs to all of you. Love, Ed

May 20, 2014Heartfelt condolences to all the Murray family especially Aunt Margaret who after 59 years of happy marriage to a wonderful man finds that he has gone to God in heaven .....but God is very near. I remember all those years ago as a young child going to Prestwick airport when your family's emigration to America began and waving goodbye to you both of you and all my cousins. I was always delighted to see you when you visited Scotland and hear of the wonderful life you had in America. I especially remember Uncle Lawrence as a fine, smart, kind, generous man who I admired for taking his family half way round the world to give his family the best opportunity that life could offer and together with you, Aunt Margaret , achieved that with skill and hard work. You all must be very proud of him and he will be sadly missed by everyone. Much love to you all especially Aunt Margaret, a very special lady. Dear Mum and Family, Mum thank you for all the love and care you gave dad. He loved you with all hisheart. You showed great strength, love, compassion, and kindness as you helped him through his journey. You always said, “There will never be anyone like Laurieâ€, and you are so right. You were his rock and he often said he could do anything as long as you were by his side. Lawrence, Alison, and Thomas I could not ask for more supportive, helpful, and wonderful siblings. Dad was so proud of all of you. You enriched his life in so many ways and you helped lesson his struggles these past few months. Mike thank you for your wonderful support and for being so great with my dad, he thought the world of you. Kathie you were an absolute angel to my dad. Lisa you brought great joy to my dad when you visited. My lovely nieces, nephews, and children, thank you for being so great to Papa; he loved you so much and was so proud of all of you. I admired my dad so much. His wisdom, unconditional love, kindness, determination, good heartedness, and can do spirit inspired me. He worked so hard for his family and always put us first. He gave us so many gifts, stories, and memories to treasure. I have been blessed with an amazing father and family.Love Ann
