To Nancy and family...may each treasured memory bring you comfort and peace. We will miss Jim and I have many fond memories of Jim going back to my Norton days. I met Jim during my employement with Norton and at that time Belanger was a valued customer. I entertained Jim and staff prior to having him as my guest at the Michigan Speedway. At that time I was in charge of the Norton Spirit Racing program, 1973. It was Jim that made certain I would witness my first Indianapolis 500. It was rained out and I was standing in line waiting to check in for my flight to Albany, NY. I believe Jim had just put Mrs. Belanger on a plane home. Jim saw me and bodily took me out of line and told me, your going to the race with me! We did, sat in the owner's suite and we both watched the Indianapolis 500. Thanks Jim! Please know how deeply you're wished the gentle comfort of cherished memories.

What can be said about the man whom I hold so dearly in my heart. Jim B. was a man who taught me the meaning of a strong work ethic. He always had a smile for me, except when I was being difficult. He never gave up on me and I always felt like I was part of his family. God Bless You Jim. To Nancy and all the rest of the family. I love you all and will think about you often.

I was a classmate of Jim's (and of Jerry's) at U of D High. We enjoyed playing basketball together, where he was definitely better than me. They were both the best. R.I.P. -- Tom

My heart is so very heavy in learning of Jim's passing. Jim & Jerry were my best friends at the High and continued long after. To Nancy & Bud, I'm sorry that I opened my e-mail notification too late to attend the service. I loved him & will keep him in my prayers.

We always admired Jim's enthusiasm in getting things done and helping others, especially young people. We are grateful to him for taking our son under his wing and providing him with the best example and business experience a young person could have. Our hearts go out to Nancy and the family. Love, Janet and Mike.
