Obituary of Thomas R. Walsh

Thomas R. Walsh Age 54, April 13, 2014 Beloved son of Sally and the late Richard Walsh. Loving brother of Tim Walsh, Kathy (Greg) Tomkiewicz, Patty (Patrick) Butler, Rick Walsh and Wendy (Imran) Walsh-Nasir. Tom is also survived by several nieces and nephews. Tom was the second oldest child of six, the middle son. He was also the most accident-prone. If there was an accident waiting to happen he found it. He was the cat with nine lives. He graduated from Redford High School in Detroit in 1977. He worked in the family business, Dick's Auto Glass, as an auto glass installer and then became Manager of the company. Later in life, he was initiated with the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers, Local 17 on September 9, 2004, and went through their Apprentice Traffic Signal Program. He became a Journeyman and worked for various contractors over his career but mainly worked for Motor City Electric and J. Ranck Electric. He had a charismatic personality and was loved by all he met. He will be dearly missed but never forgotten. A private Memorial Service will be held.
