Obituary of Marilyn Mae Van Wagner
Marilyn Mae Van Wagner Passed away peacefully at the Hospice of Lenawee Facility in Adrian, Michigan. She was 89 years old.
Marilyn Van Wagner (Parker) was born in Cleveland, Ohio on August 1, 1927 to Eleanor (West) and Edward Parker. She was preceded in death by her husband (Jack), sister Patricia, sons Jon and Jim. She is survived by her son Tom & Tanya Van Wagner, nine grand children and nine great grand children, numerous nieces and nephews all scattered around the Country and the State of Michigan
She graduated from Michigan State Normal College (1950) in music education where she met and married Jack B. Van Wagner in 1949. Marilyn spent most of life living in the Novi, Michigan area where she taught music and secondary elementary school for thirty years for the Farmington School System. After retiring she moved to the Bellaire area where her and Jack resided in a home on Clam Lake until the death of her husband (Jack) in 1996. She moved to St. Augustine, Florida full time until she became ill. Marilyn was transported to the Magnum Health Care Facility in Adrian, MI in 2008 where she lived out the rest of her life. Marilyn enjoyed gardening and started a herb garden at the Clam Lake Home and for several years sold dried herbs and flowers through her business called Garden Gate Herbs.
