Obituary of Diane Carol Curcuruto
Diane Peters-Curcuruto, of Howell, Michigan Diane Peters-Curcuruto was born October 1, 1952 and left us September 30, 2016. In life, she was always known as a loving, caring, and compassionate woman, lending an ear to listen, a shoulder to cry on, or a hand to hold on to.
She grew up in Detroit, Michigan and attended Dominican High School. After high school, she went on to study psychology at Wayne State and Michigan State University. She married her husband, Sam, in 1985 and was blessed with two children, Sam Jr. and Monaclaire. She dedicated much of her life to the Byron community, serving time as president of the PTA and supporting the Byron FFA, Girl Scouts, and Band Boosters. Of all her accomplishments, she loved being a mother and grandmother above all else. In her free time, she could always be found baking and cooking. Anyone who visited her house will remember the smell of brownies or cupcakes, and certainly never left hungry. She made everyone feel like they were a part of her family whenever they were around. She lived a full and happy life, surrounded by her family and friends who she loved with all her heart. Her cheerful attitude and positive outlook on life was felt by everyone who knew her.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Sam Sr., and mom and dad, Monaclaire and Robert Peters. She is survived by her son, Sam Jr., daughter, Monaclaire, grandson, Mason, sisters, Julie Dawson (Tom), Cathy Gondek (Ron Smith), Claudia Holdampf (Phil), Mary Sermo (David), Lily Rozewski (Chris), brother, Robert Peters (Patricia), sister-in-law, Janet Whittico-McMillan, brother-in-law, Jim Whittico (Trish Peters), and many nieces and nephews.
