I recall Jac from our time at Mumford High School. We were both members of the Drama Club -- he helped build the sets. He was an energetic, creative and all-around fun guy.

Dear Carol, I'm so sorry to read of Jac's death in the Free Press. Carol Purdon was a friend and though I never met Jac I somehow felt I knew him. I know his life became very difficult after Carol's sudden and tragic death. Jac was so blessed to have you there for him.You both are in my thoughts and prayers. Nancy Szerlag

Carol and family, I was so sad to read of Jac's death. Great picture. What a combination of Bob and Elda!. I treasure the table he redid for me--special quality like him. Love always, Mary

Jac and I, as young kids, were friends from the summers spent on Lake Erie in the Cornwall and Wright's Beach area of Colechester, Ontario. Our condolances go to Jac's family and close friends.

Time flies. I just did a web search for an old friend and found both he and Carol are gone. I had become friends with Jac and Carol in 1969 as a member of the Grosse Pointe theater group. I helped Jac work on his new house on Village Lane and fell in love with home restoration. I helped him build a sailboat in his back yard and followed his adventure as he sailed out into the Atlantic. I used to drive my 1958 MGA from Birmingham over to help him work on his Porsche. I moved to Arizona and we drifted apart. His and Carols original Christmas cards kept me in touch with their art. I think I saved every one. I just came across one of his first silk screen prints he gave me in the 1970's while he was still working with SEMCOG and it spurred me to look him up on the web. I wish I'd done it sooner. He passed away two days before my 59th birthday. My sincerest condolences.
