I knew Ralph only through church here in Naples, but he was a joy to be with. On the occasions when I sat with you at coffee after service, I always left for home with warmth in my heart. Ralph saw to that. I will miss his smile and his good-natured banter. All his family will be in my prayers, but especially you, Lee and Eleanor and Ken. You have a wonderful family and I know they will hold you close. Gary did you all proud at the memorial service. He had such a difficult task, but he did it wonderfully well. Dear Lee, We were very sorry to hear the sad news, but know Ralph is in a much better place. We will always remember the wonderful vacation we shared in Spain - the rental car, the mountain road with the oncoming scary truck, El DOggio, the wonderful two hour dinners and the side trip to Gibralter. It is nice to have wonderful memories.
Dear Lilion, My sister sent me the notice of Ralph's death. I know we haven't seen each other in decades, and we saw each other only rarely even then. But we recall both of you, and your mother and aunt, fondly. We were very sorry to hear the news, and we are thinking about you. Aunt Theresa's figurines of me and my sisters in our graduation robes are still vivid; mine sits on my dresser even now. So an apparently small thing like that sustains a sense of family connectedness. Bill Schang
