Dear Margaret, and Family of Betty Trost We were very sad to hear of your mother's death, although we knew she had been in ill health for quite some time. We moved next door to your parents in 1978. They were wonderful neighbors. Betty helped us enormously with our yard gardening tips, flower suggestions, even positioning some of our evergreens. Her own gardens were beautiful, and Larry and I enjoyed our view of her yard immensely. I will always think of your mother each time I pass or visit Cranbrook. Know that your parents were very special neighbors to us, and we miss them. Sincerely, Larry and Nadine Martens

Dear Margaret and Family, Betty Trost was my mentor and great teacher at Cranbrook Gardens and what I learned was invaluable. I worked with her for years and carried on in her gardens when she was no longer able. I loved Norm, too and saw him often at the YMCA where he worked out often so I can get out of a chair nicely! They are missed. Jeanne Graham

Betty had a great impact on my life. Through gardening she developed many pathways and friendships that continue to enrich my life forever. Our world seems lessened but our memories will comfort us.

I noted the message accidentally regarding Betty Trost. I knew and worked with Norm Trost at GMC Truck & Coach prior to 1965. I immediately had good memories of those times as Norm was an outstanding, capable person and wonderful to work with toward our Company's goals. I left GMC in 1965 and have had no contact since. Even though that was a very long time ago I wanted to express my good feelings about that period while working with Norm. Jack Cauley
