As the stepmother and father of Bob Jr., we were proud and happy for such a perfect union between Bob Jr. and Julie. We got to know Julie via phone conversations and saw Bob from time to time on his business trips to California. We have never known Bob to be as happy in many years. It was obvious that Julie and Bob brought out the best in each other. Our sympathy, condolences and prayers to all and may each of us, by example and demonstration, know that Julie would wish love to bind us together always.

It's been a year today since Julie passed away. I never signed the guestbook last year....could never get pass having to acknowledge that she was gone. My heart is still breaking. We were best friends from the first time we met in 1994. She worried about me and what I would do without her...that's Julie. ALWAYS putting others first. I miss her so very much.

Bob, Mrs. Rand, Mike, Marta and Liza and all extended family members, I am not sure if you remember who I am or not, but I graduated from high school with Julie. We were good buddies, unfortunately we lost touch, but did see each other at a couple of the reunions over the years. Julie was always so warm and friendly to me, everytime I saw her, I felt like we were never apart. She invited me to sleep on her couch after our 15th reunion and we had a great time reminiscing all night(!)about our middle school and high school days. She always made me feel so welcome. She used to call me Van. That might ring a bell for you Marta and Liza. Anyway, I just wanted you to know how sorry I am for your incredible loss. I feel very fortunate that Barb notified me of Julie's passing. I live in Traverse City and will be in Detroit at Ford Field on Saturday for our high school's football game. If I am able, I hope to be at her memorial service. If not, please know that you will be in my thoughts and prayers. I heard from Barb that Julie met the man of her dreams. Bob, I am so glad you came in to my dear, sweet, old friend's life. Thank you. God bless you all. Much love, Carrie (Van) White

Jules- I will never forget the 18 years of family time we spent together. I will not forget that you were a good tennis player,as you challenged me in our early years. I will not forget our early homemade pizza parties with Marta and Liza. I will never forget that you loved Paul McCartney and I was for John Lennon but that made our Beatles' love relationship special for the two of us. I cannot forget our Christmas holidays on Lingemann and opening presents with your Dad. I will never forget all your endless attendance to Jack and Ava's sports and school events, the birthdays and Baptisms. I will never forget that you were a great sister-in-law to me and Brian; a special sister to Michael, Marta and Liza; a loving daughter to Don and Diana; a tender aunt, Aunt JuJu, to the first borns, Livy & Jack and then our second borns, Sophie and Ava. I will remember that you were a wonderful wife to a special man, Bob. I will not forget that your big brother Michael always lovingly called you Jules. All this and much more, I will not forget. I will miss you very much. With Love and Resolutions, Jay.

TO JULES .. YOU ARE LOVED ... No, in ALL (emphasis ours) these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. For I am convinced that NEITHER DEATH nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, NOR ANYTHING ELSE in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord. Romans 837-39 YOU ARE VICTORIOUS & ADMIRED ... You have fought the good fight, you have finished the race, you have kept the faith. 2 Timothy 47 WE WILL SEE YOU AGAIN... Finally, there is laid up for US the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will give to US on that Day, and not to US only but also to ALL who have loved His appearing. 2 Timothy 48 God bless you, Jules! TO BOB ... THE LORD IS CLOSE to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit. Psalm 3418 ... I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in me will live, even though he dies; and WHOEVER lives and believes in me WILL NEVER DIE. Do you believe this John 1125-26 We love you, brother.

Dear Bob and Julie, Have you ever met someone and just know that they could become a part of your family...Did you ever meet someone and just know how much love they have to share...did you ever meet someone and just know what beautiful souls they have...Did you ever meet someone and just know that they were sent by God to be in your life and to be your friends...We did not get to know Julie as well as we wanted, but we thank the Lord for the time we did have, and for the time we will have with Bob and his son's, and we will always remember the strength, courage and love that Julie has shown since the first day we met....Gone from this earth, in heaven looking down, a piece of our lives, and souls, forever. Dear Rand and LaFond Families It was a pleasure to watch Julie grow up at the UAW, and an even greater joy to eventually work closely with her in the UAW President's Office. She was a smart, caring and encouraging co-worker. Besides that, and simply put, Julie was a blast! She was a gutsy leader who almost daily led the two of us to the brink of secretarial genius, or to the edge of a steep cliff, whichever happened to occur. The job was serious, but Julie made it more fun than I can articulate. She was a cozy light on a dark day, her hearty laugh suddenly making everything alright. In my eyes, Julie was right up there with the sun, moon and stars, and I'll never forget her. I'm thankful for the talks and dinners we shared the last few years. My deepest sympathy to all of you. Love, Barbara

Dear Michael, Marta, Liza and Mrs. Rand, What a difficult time, the death of your dear sister and daughter; how final...but, not really final... it just seems that way with our loved ones that we miss and have to wait so incredibly long to see again. I didn't know Julie as JuJu or Jules...or at least I had forgotten, and although it was on rare occasion that I saw her, I find myself crying and hurting for this great void, a part of my childhood has been taken. Anyhow, she was really a cute little blondie and always seemed to be calm and smiley; she would answer the doorbell and would invite me in or perhaps inform me that you were in a family meeting. What fun memories we have in our old neighborhood. Julie and her father are united and alive and well.... If only we could just get a glimpse of them now... oh well, we will all be there before you know it and will have one grand Lingemann reunion. May God sustain all of you and give you comfort and peace. My deepest condolences to her new very nice husband Bob - so glad Julie found her sole mate and had someone to stand by her side through this. I love you guys.

I was so moved by everyone who attended Julie's memorial service. She will forever have a place in my heart. Some family members and friends could not make the memorial serivce, they all took the time to contact me and introduce themselves and share the special place Julie had in their lives. For those that could not make it, I have posted a link to the memorial service on our personal website www.bobandjuju.com The message was powerful. Several people who had lost loved ones in the past, had indicated the memorial had a positive effect in their lives. I will be adding some additional video clips from the memorial in the coming months as friends and family also provided input. The memorial was a celebration of Julie's life. I am sure Julie had something to do with this. In her life, as in her transition to heaven, Julie was able to provide a positive influence to others. We were all blessed by God for finding someone like Julie to share our lives with. For me personally, Julie was an angel from heaven. My life is forever changed and someday, Julie and I will be together again. To everyone who has taken the time to share their thoughts, prayers and memories, I thank you all. All the Best Robert LaFond Jr.
