The Starkweather Arts Center wishes to convey its condolences to the family of Don Wieland. His artwork was a real asset to our shows and he will be greatly missed.
I am very sorry to hear of Don's passing. He was a member of the Romeo Guild of Art for a number of years and served as our president until recently. Don had a terrific sense of humor. He was a fabulous artist. Don liked to paint old toys. I gave him an old Jack-in-the-box that I found in my aunts house. He used it in a painting and presented my husband with a wonderful painting of his '51 Chevy Truck in appreciation for that old toy. He will be missed. My condolences to his family.
