My deepest sympathy to all of Jack's family. He was the best kind of friend to have. Wise, kind, and willing to listen when you needed a shoulder to cry on. Rest in peace my friend.

Jack became a dear friend to me through our membership in the Men's and Women's Garden Club. I'm out of town this winter, and regret missing his memorial. The world has lost a fine man.

Jack and I shared many an interesting conversation driving together to and from meetings for the Men's and Women's Garden Club. He was always full of interesting stories on a variety of subjects. He also was very generous sharing from his garden, I learned to like Jerusalem artichokes he would supply at the end of summer, not to mention delicious tomatoes. He told me more than once how much he loved his garden. I will miss you Jack.

Jack was such a positive person every time we came in contact with him. Great sense of humor and love of life. “There are two ways of spreading light to be the candle or the mirror that refects it.” -Edith Wharton May he rest in peace.

I will always remember jacks stories about World War II and the IRS. He had a Twinkle in his eye and a story to tell even though his eye sight was failing

On behalf of the Men's & Women's Garden Club of Grosse Pointe, I extend my sincerest condolences to the family of Jack Manko. Until the most recent few years, Jack had also been very active in our organization. He was treasurer for over 10 years, sat on our board of directors and was a perennial volunteer helping with our flower sales. He loved his garden and grew excellent tomatoes. We're going to miss him. God bless you Jack!

My late husband, David Torrence had the priviledge of knowing Jack at the IRS. I enjoyed my interaction with Jack and his late wife, Margaret at St. Michael's Church. Jack had a clever and quick wit!
