Dear Nancy, I just found out that Bob died on the 27th. I am very sorry to learn about this. I know he had severe health problems in recent years. After Tom visited you a few weeks ago he told me that Bob said he had had a stroke not long ago. Nancy, I'm not going to try and tell you how many times Bob helped us with things - the list would take too long to write even if I could remember them. But I do especially remember how he helped us heat our pipes (around 2012 or so) when we had a power failure and it was very cold. He actually walked down our snowy slope with a propane tank to heat up the pipes in our boiler room before any of them could freeze. We could not have done that without his help. And that was just one of many things he did for us. I also remember how grateful my mom was for all the help Bob gave her after my dad died. Many of the things he did for my mom were things I did not know how to do. Finally I remember how you both supported (and comforted!) us at our feeble attempts to play bluegrass music at the Poppy Seed restaurant. No matter how bad we sounded Bob still clapped for us (as did you). When we finished playing you and Bob were the only people (besides our group) still in the restaurant. I can't begin to imagine how difficult it must be for you now living without Bob after having him as a life partner for 67 years. Please accept my condolences Nancy during this very difficult and sad time. Love, Peter

I'm so sorry for your loss, Aunt Nancy. I didn't spend a lot of time with Uncle Bob, yet I could tell what a calm, wonderful person he was. He is missed.
