Obituary of Robert Frederick Zorn

Robert "Bob" Frederick Zorn of Lapeer (formerly Lake Orion/Rochester), Michigan passed away on Tuesday, August 27, 2019. He was born to Louis and Lydia Zorn on September 9, 1930 in Detroit. He graduated from Pershing High School in 1947, enlisted in the Naval Air Reserves, and served our country for 18 years. Bob married Nancy Luke on July 2, 1952 at Epiphany Lutheran Church in Detroit and welcomed son Mark in 1959. They were married for 67 years. Bob and Nancy enjoyed ranching for many years with their numerous faithful horses. They loved square-dancing and bluegrass music, and shared a great love of animals, nature and the land. Bob served a great number of years with Friends of Bald Mountain Recreation Area in Lake Orion. Bob is survived by his loving wife, Nancy, dear son Mark (Holly) Zorn, and cherished granddaughter Sherie Mann and great-granddaughters Alexis and Annalynn Mann. He is also survived by many cousins and was a much-loved uncle to Dan & Judy Weir, Steve & Sandy Anzur and Carolyn & Barbra Ross, along with numerous other nieces, great-nieces, nephews & great-nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, and four sisters. He will be greatly missed.
