Obituary of Hilde Marie Luise Zajac
Hilde Marie Luise Zajac (nee Seemann) was born January 18, 1921 and entered into rest at the age of 94 on September 4, 2015.
She was the beloved wife of Bernard Peter Zajac (deceased 1992). Loving mother of Bernard P. Zajac, Jr. (deceased 1995). Her beloved brother Kurt Karl Wilhelm and his wife Chrystal Hilda Seemann (nee Lewis) preceded her in death in 1981. She was the aunt of Bonnie Meyerand (Seemann), Nancy Stewart (Seemann), Janet, Robin, John, Kurt, Richard and Robert Seemann, JoAnn Goolsby (nee Zajac), Kathleen Molinaro (nee Zajac), John and the late Richard Zajac. Hilde is also survived by many great and great great nieces and nephews.
She was a faithful friend to many and in return had many lifelong blessings from them.
She was a strong God loving woman. Born in Berlin, Germany to her parents Johannes Julius and Hedwig Marie (nee Berbrich) Seemann. At the age of 7 yrs. she, her brother Kurt and their parents moved to Royal Oak, MI. She graduated from Royal Oak High School and attended Michigan State University. Hilde worked at S.S. Kresge Co. in Royal Oak as did her brother. In the 1940's she was employed at the ordnance department as a unit chief clerk in ammunitions. She married the love of her life Bernard in 1946 . Bernard served during WWII in Japan. As a successful business woman she owed two Wine and Liquor stores with her husband. Their first store was the Fiesta Shoppe on 7 mile in Detroit, MI. The second one, The Bottle Shoppe on Hall Road in Utica, MI. They retired to Sun City, AZ. In 1977, where she lived for 34 years. She was the president of many clubs and was active in Tia Chi, dance, exercise, swimming, entertaining and golf. No Rocking chair for her. Sadly she lost her husband in 1992. Her only child Bernard Jr. died in 1995 after a long battle with lupus. Hilde stayed faithful and strong. She never missed an opportunity to "bend-a-knee" or light a candle for family, friends and the world peace. As her health declined she moved back to Michigan. Her family was truly blessed to have this amazing woman near.
She entered the House of the Lord on September 4, 2015. Heaven now has a spunky, sassy angel to watch over many.
May her soul through the Mercy of God Rest in Peace.
