Joan, my dear friend, wise woman with a compassionate heart. You always had just the right book or poem to share. You faced life with courage and open-mindedness. You overcame much and knew how to embrace and laugh at human foibles while always striving toward the light. I miss you here on earth, but I know you are now in the light. I continue to be blessed by the many conversations we shared. I am donating to Alpha House in your memory and if I can figure out where to put a tree, it will be in memory of you. With love, Judie

So very sorry for your loss. A mother is the heart and soul of the family. I pray her life and not her death defines your memories of her.

Seeing Aunt Joan at family events was always such a treat. She had so much wisdom and was so much fun to talk to. Her spirit lit up the room. May you all find peace and support in each other at this time. Love you.

Ann and Bob, I’m so sorry for your loss. Your mother, Ann, was an amazing and accomplished woman. Reading her obituary I can see where you come by many of your gifts and talents. And she was a beauty, as are you, inside and out. I’m praying for peace and comfort for you and all of your family and sending my love.
