Obituary of Wilma Louise Glenn

Wilma Louise Coates Glenn, PhD, July 5, 1930 to December 22, 2008. She was a product of the Detroit Public School System, earning her doctorate at Wayne State University. She was dedicated to inspiring others to learn. Fun loving with a zest for life, for many years she shared her love for nature and art as a volunteer Docent at The Detroit Zoo and The Detroit Institute of Arts. She served on the board for the Friends of Belle Isle, and was co-founder of the Greater Michigan Alzheimer's Association. Beloved mother of Linda (Doug Merriman) and loving aunt to Vonda (Ellis Hurks). Her memory will be cherished by a host of family and friends and childhood best friend Dorothy Terry Buckman. Private services for family. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Greater Michigan Chapter of the Alzheimer's Association.
